Tea across the generations

We have a deal with our tea farmers which we call the “generation deal” because many of our contracted tea farmers have worked together with AIYA for several generations.

Our dedicated farmers take incredible care of their fields, plants, the soil, and the quality of their products. AIYA buys the entire annual crop from its farmers to ensure them a stable income even if sometimes single crops cannot be used. Even more than this we are partners and consultants to the tea farmers in all aspects of tea growing.

Here are a few of the questions we work together with our partners on. Which natural fertilizer composition is the best for our tea? Which natural, organic countermeasures can we take to fight insects? How do we reduce stress of the tea plants? It is clear to anyone who knows us that we all truly enjoy our work.

And of course we are as excited about working together with the children and grand-children of our tea farmers, as we were when we worked with their fathers and grandfathers in times past.
