Japan produces around 100.000 tons of tea each year and approximately 1600 tons of this is Matcha tea. Alone this one fact demonstrates that Matcha is the world’s most precious tea. Then consider that the quantity of Matcha produced represents a mere 0.003% of the annual world tea harvest.

Against this background AIYA’s average yearly production is around 800 tons. Conservatively calculated this means AIYA has an impressive 45% market share.

Our market share in Europe is a staggering 80% of all Matcha teas sold and in North America it is 70%.
